A Challenge From Nottingham Music School

NMS is going to have a 'stage' at the forthcoming NottStopping Online Festival which will run throughout the weekend of 23 - 24 May 2020.

NottStopping is being put together in conjunction with Hockley Hustle and ChalleNGe, and they are delighted to be involved!

Here Is Where You Can Help

Do you love to sing or play an instrument?

Could you be recorded doing a musical performance?

If yes then you could submit your musical performance!

The Deadline is Friday 15 May

Nottingham Music School will feature as many of these videos as they can!

How to take part:

Step 1: Get your parents involved and ask them to help you.

Step 2: Decide what your musical performance will be and then practice.

Step 3: When you are happy with your performance ask your grown up to video record you. As you are under 18 ensure they read the statement below at the end of the video to confirm they give permission for your video to be shown.

"My name is xxxxx and I am the parent / guardian of xxxxx.  I give permission for xxxxx to record and upload a video for the Nottingham Music Service.  Xxxxx attends xxxxx school.  I understand that, once uploaded, the video will be viewed by members of Nottingham Music Service staff and may also be made available for the public to view, including as part of the NottStopping Online Festival.  I understand that it may also be used to promote the work of the Service on the Nottingham Music Hub website and / or social media platforms.  I understand that I can withdraw this permission at any time by emailing Nottingham Music Service."

Step 4: Send it to the email address below.

Parents / Carers please use WeTransfer to send videos directly to Claire Dyer at claire.dyer@nottinghammusichub.org.uk

The Deadline is Friday 15 May

Without the permission statement, they will be unable to use the video!

Community Challenge:

Let’s brighten up our streets and communities while we are at home.  Draw/paint/collage a picture and stick it in your front room or front bedroom window for everyone to see.

It will give us something to look at and talk about if we are able to go out for a walk. Your neighbours will have something cheerful to see from their windows.  Hopefully it will create some smiles!
