Non-Core Activity - Design and Technology (Making a paper boat that floats)
Last week, I did this activity with some of our Key Worker children in school and they LOVED it. Your task this afternoon is to create a boat out of paper that can float.
I have put two links below to two origami style boats that you may want to try or you might want to try your own design. There are lots of tutorials on YouTube.
The challenge is to see home many pieces of lego or pebbles (or whatever you have at home that you can use) your boat can hold without sinking. Remember to send your photographs to our home learning address so we can see who is the winner.
Boat 1 idea (easier)
Boat 2 idea (much trickier)
