MONDAY 13TH JULY - FRIDAY 17TH JULY
Today we would like you to complete the Marcus Rashford comprehension activity. There is a page of information about him to read and then a few questions to answer based on what you have read.
If you wanted to challenge yourself there is also an additional comprehension based on Harry Kane for you to try too.
* The Harry Kane comprehension contains 3 different levels of difficulty so please pick the one most suited to you. 1 star is the easier version and 3 stars is the most difficult.
Summer Term Week 11 (Week commencing 6th July) Lesson 1
Vertically opposite angles
This week, we are going to be making our own football top trump cards so that you can play against a friend or someone from your family.
Top trumps is a traditional card game played between two or more people. Each card lists numerical data that players compare with the aim of ‘trumping’ their opponent by having a greater value. The winner gains the opponents card(s) with the game continuing until only one player holds all the cards. Each card in a pack has the same categories.
Below are some examples of these cards:
In this session we would like you to research as much information as you can about the footballers that you want to include in your top trump game. You may want to look at categories such as appearances, trophies won, international caps and goals. It is entirely up to you which categories you use for your cards.

Enjoy some Calm Me time with Mrs Cocker
Today you are going to have some time to reflect on the past school year and consider the things you are looking forward in the future. Think carefully about both the summer holidays and when you start your new school in September, there are lots of things to look forward to!
When you think about the future, there might be something that gives you 'the butterflies' and makes you feel a little nervous, this is totally normal. Have a chat with your grown up about what you could do to try and make 'your butterflies' better.
Use the sheets below to help you record your ideas.
Don't forgot to take time everyday to relax and enjoy some Calm Me time in September. Good luck at your new school!
