Congratulations to all the lucky winners of our Christmas raffle and a big thank you to everyone who bought tickets . Together we have raised £416.50! As always the money we raise goes towards subsidising school trips and residentials, to enable all of our children to take part.

COMMUNITY MORNING

We are looking forward to our first 'Community Morning' on Friday 30th September at 9:00.

This event will include :

* MacMillan Coffee Morning( more information to follow)

*Swap Shop- donate clothes, toys etc and exchange for items that would be useful to you( more information to follow)

* Information from ;Equipped 2 Succeed' - A FREE 10 week course held at school to empower,enable and equip members from our community

* We will also be inviting local councillors and the school nurse.

ACADEMIC YEAR 2022-2023

We are looking forward to another great year of community events and fundraisers. F.O.B.S    ( Friends of Old Basford School) are a group of volunteers who help with events throughout the year such as discos and summer Fair.  All money raised each year gores towards subsidising school trips and residentials to ensure all children at O.B.S can take part.

Our first charity event, MacMillan coffee morning, will take place on 30th September and we always appreciate extra helpers!.

If you are interested in joining our FOBS team please have a chat to Mrs Tee - Assistant Head and Parental Engagement Lead of school or leave a message at the school office. We look forward to welcoming some new members.

SUMMER FAIR

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at our Summer fair on Thursday 7th July at 3:30

We will have lots of stalls , bouncy castles, hot dogs and even an ice cream van!

All money raised will go towards our fundraising mission to subsidise all class trips and residentials to ensure that all children at Old Basford school get the chance to take part.

WINTER RAFFLE

A big thank you to everyone who entered our Winter raffle , we raised over £220 , which will pay for all the children to watch a virtual pantomine this week .

Congratulations to all the winners who have been notified to come and collect their prize from the office.

Thanks to Bulwell Morrisons , we have lots of  Christmas and New Year items for sale this Friday after school . Lorraine, one of our FOBS will be holding a table top sale in her usual spot by the car park. All items are either £1 or 50p. Come along and grab a bargain!

We are pleased to announce that OBS has signed up to the Morrison's 'Good To Grow' scheme. Paper vouchers can be dropped into the collection box at the office , digital vouchers can be registered to OBS on the app. We are looking forward to seeing what new gardening equipment we will receive!

We are excited to announce that we are aiming to go ahead with our autumn DISCO!

                             Thursday 4th November

Class1,2,3,4,5,6                            4:30 - 5:30

Class 7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14           6:00 - 7:00

Tickets are £1.50 each and will be sold through School Gateway

There will also be a tuck shop at the disco , so please make sure they bring money with them if they would like to buy a treat or two!

We are excited that we are able to start doing all the fun events again that always bring the BUZZ to Old Basford School life.

Our first event this year is MacMillan Coffee morning on 29th September at 9:00 - 10:00 in the school hall.

We would appreciate cake donations whether baked or bought . Please bring cakes into school on 28th or 29th September.
