Welcome to Year 3!

We are delighted to welcome our Year 3 pupils and families to the new school year. We look forward to an exciting year filled with learning, discovery, creativity, and fun.

Year 3 is an important step in each child's learning journey, and we are committed to providing a supportive and engaging environment where every child can thrive. We cannot wait to see all that our pupils will achieve this year.

We wish everyone a happy, successful, and enjoyable school year ahead!

Reading

Children will bring home a coloured book band reading book as well as a Reading for Pleasure book to enjoy with family members at home. We ask that children read at least three times each week and that an adult signs their reading diary. Reading diaries will be checked weekly.

Maths

TT Rock Stars is very important in Year 3 as it helps children develop quick recall of their times tables. Regular practice makes a huge difference, so we encourage children to spend at least 10 minutes each week using TT Rock Stars at home.

Spellings

Children will receive new spellings each week. Please support your child in practising these regularly so they can become confident and accurate spellers.

We are always happy to help. If you have any questions, concerns or need to discuss anything, please feel free to catch us at the end of the school day.
