On Tuesday morning, an epic sporting fixture took place – the annual Year 6 vs Staff football match.

The staff team executed their strategy to perfection and took a 3–0 lead into half-time. The Year 6 team did not let this dampen their spirits and roared back with two fantastic goals soon after the break, making the score 3–2.

This momentum was soon halted when the staff scored two quick goals to go 5–2 up and seemed to have the game all but wrapped up. However, there was another twist in this clash of the titans, as the Year 6 team scored two more goals to bring the score to 5–4, before Rehan smashed the ball into the roof of the net with the last kick of the game – resulting in wild celebrations and a dramatic 5–5 draw.

Due to their fighting spirit, resilience and sportsmanship, Year 6 were given the honour of lifting the shield first. A special mention goes to Man of the Match Umair, who did an incredible job as goalkeeper for the staff team.
