We currently have the following vacancy 

 

 

Part-time SENCO (non class based)

Contract Term: Permanent

Hours: Part Time (between 0.4 to 0.8)

Salary: Main Scale/UPS plus TLR2a

Closing Date: Monday 6th June 9am

Interviews: Friday 10th June

 

Old Basford School in Nottingham requires a SENCO, commencing 1st September 2022. (Or as soon as possible after this date.)

 

Following the successful promotion of our current post holder, Old Basford School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic SENCO to join our friendly and committed staff. The role will sit within the school’s middle leadership team.

 

There is flexibility in working days and hours to suit the right candidate; the role does not have a class teacher responsibility. However, dependant on the number of days/hours agreed  a small proportion of time may involve weekly cover to release a fellow middle leader (in a year group of their preference).

We are looking for a person who:

• Has a proven track record of consistently great classroom practice and behaviour management

• Is an outstanding, dynamic and hard-working practitioner

• Has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of additional needs

• Inspirational, motivated and can lead and support colleagues

• Able to plan and monitor the quality of provision and interventions for children with additional needs

• Someone who has completed or has begun the National Award for SENCO

• An understanding of Local Authority SEND processes including HLN and EHCPs

• Can naturally and confidently engage staff in improving professional practice for SEND

• Loves education and the rewards of working with children
