Make a bird feeder

As the cold weather sets in it can be a tricky time for the birds to find enough food. As frosts cause the ground the freeze the birds struggle to find many wiggly worms to eat. This is where we can give them a helping hand by making some bird feeders for them to snack on in the chilly weather!

You can also put out fresh water for animals to drink and bathe in. If you have space, create a ‘wild pile’ of twigs, logs and dead leaves in a quiet corner – it makes the perfect refuge where creepy crawlies, frogs and hedgehogs can hibernate.
