Help save the bees!

Britain’s bees are in trouble! 35 UK bees species are under threat of extinction, and all species face serious threats.

Why are bees struggling?

- The increase of farming. Farmers are using pesticides that are unsafe for bees resulting in the bee population decreasing rapidly!

Click the link below to sign the petition to make sure there's a clear plan to reduce pesticides and make the countryside a safer place for wildlife.

-Shifts in the seasons are disrupting flowering times and the availability of food, shelter and nesting sites. Climate change also brings extremes of drought, heavier rainfall and flooding. Bees and pollinating insects are struggling to survive.

What can we do to help?

We can make sure that our gardens are a safe and prosperous place for bees to enjoy all year round! Bees only fly a few miles looking for food. So what is in your garden really does count!

Below is a list of plants and shrubs that feed the bees all year round. I wonder if you could add any of these to your garden or plant some in a plant pot outside?
