LEADERSHIP ROLES ANNOUNCED - CLUB CAPTAINS
This morning in whole school assembly Mrs Shaw announced the new CLUB CAPTAINS of school for 22/23.
The assembly started by asking all pupils to consider 'What makes a great leader?'
We had numerous fantastic answers from all across school that were linked to our PROUD rules, alongside responses that focused on: being a good listener, being reliable and responsible - BUT - the standout answer came from an F2 pupil who said 'Follow the Leader' - we then talked about being role models, inspiring others and leading by example! Being someone that others wanted to follow!
Congratulations to all of the following CLUB CAPTAINS who I am certain will lead and support their extra-curricular club to the best of their ability. They were presented with their leadership badges by David Lawson our Chair of Governors.
A special thank you to my new Basketball Captains who today helped me select the team for next week's match. They picked 6 new children to have their basketball debut for school, delivered the news to their peers with a clear and considerate explanation, handed out permission letters and passed the team sheet on to Mrs Scrivens in the office to record for our 'representing school/sports appearances log!' ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!
I know each Club Captain will also play a vital role in co-leading their club whilst supporting the lead member of staff facilitating it.
