On Monday 10th October, our Under 11s football team competed in the 6-a-side Forest Festival. The competition included 24 teams from the Nottingham City, each competing in one of 4 groups, with the group winners going on to the semi-finals and finals. Old Basford breezed through the group stage, winning all of their games without conceding a goal! Rise Park proved stubborn opposition in the semi-finals but two deflected goals in extra time saw us through to the final. In the final, Southglade proved equally challenging opponents and took the lead mid-way through the game. However, Old Basford's resilience and quality shone through and we were comfortable 3-1 winners.  This meant we were able to lift this prestigious trophy for the first time in our history.
