  • SUMMER FAIR

Mon 15 Jul 2019 Mrs Tee

Thank you to everyone who attended our summer fair last week . We were thankful that the rain held off just long enough for us all to enjoy ourselves!  It was great to see so many people from our school community and there was a lovely atmosphere all around . The children especially enjoyed the fair this year as we held an enterprise competition between classes to see who could make the most profit from£5. Thank you for your incredible generosity , we raised an incredible £1870!

As always the money raised goes into our F.O.B.S account which strives to keep the cost of class trips and residentials down for our families by subsidising costs.

Thank you to everyone who helped or made donations for the fair , we are truly PROUD to be part of your community!

He has now decided it is time to properly retire from school as a whole. We wish him well and thank you for the endless amount of children in that time he has taught to play chess.

This year we have had the pleasure of working alongside Basford College, we have been a volunteer host school in terms of providing three of its sports apprentices with a base to help them complete their qualification! These young people, have all given up their time to for free, in providing both lessons and after school clubs in sport, in particular, GIRLS football! (Very timely and inspiring with the Women's World Cup!)

Today, two of our incredibly popular Basford College apprentices, had a surprise in store for all of our F2 pupils who they have coached for the last 2 terms in football and a group of upper school girls who have been attending a weekly after school football club!

EACH PUPIL was presented with their very own football as a part of special presentation hosted by Maddy and Libbie! The pupils were all so surprised and delighted! A special moment to witness!
