  • ANYONE FOR CAMPING! OBS Y3 PUPILS STAY OVERNIGHT ON OUR SCHOOL FIELD

    Tonight our Y3 pupils and 8 members of staff are getting ready to camp overnight on the school grounds. The children have already had lots of fun on the field and are now having a movie night in their PJ's before bedtime.

    Tomorrow night we will repeat the adventure for our Y2 pupils.

     

     

  • OBS DRAMA CLUB PERFORMS THE TEMPEST AT THE ROYAL CONCERT HALL

    We could not be more PROUD of our Y4, Y5 & Y6 drama club pupils; today they performed a scene from Shakespeare's THE TEMPEST at The Royal Concert Hall. 

    Their professionalism, talent and acting skills where there for all to see and marvel at! 

  • Year 4 Dodgeball

    Dodgeball Festival

     

    Today we took 10 year 4s to Harvey Haddon to play in a dodgeball festival. The Children were amazing and competed against lots of inner city schools. They represented the school amazingly.

  • NSPCC Speak Out. Stay Safe.

    In school this week all pupils will be taking part in the NSPCC Speak Out. Stay Safe. campaign.  They will watch an online assembly and complete age-appropriate tasks about the importance of speaking out if something is worrying them, either to a trusted adult or Childline.

    The aim is to help children understand abuse in all its forms and to recognise the signs of abuse in a child friendly way.  If you would like to know more about the Speak out. Stay safe. programme you can find information on the NSPCC website www.nspcc.org.uk/speakout.

  • Year 5 quad kids regional final

    County Quad Kids final

     

    On the 22/6/22, (Inset Day) We took our year 5s to the county finals. It was a massive achievement to even get to this point. On the day we didn't find out the results due to technical issues. I can now share this great news.

    WE WON GOLD

            The children were amazing and came first out of the whole                  County. Squad, Obi, Samuel, Caleb, Lewis, Archie, Nyah,

            India, Ella, Liwia and Neveah.

     

            We had an issue with the Ipad, which was checked before 

            we left so apologise for lack of action shots but once we

            receive the medals I will upload Photos. 

     

            Well done, I am so proud of you all.

  • YEAR 5 ARE BACK FROM RESIDENTIAL WITH A BANG!

    Year 5 arrived back from Walesby this afternoon full of tales, laughter and achievements to share with their OBS Family! I am delighted to say they behaved brilliantly and were a credit to our school, their parents and themselves!

  • 1ST BASKETBALL MATCHES OF THE SEASON

    With Mrs Shaw back from maternity leave .... BASKETBALL IS BACK!

    Last night 13 pupils had their debut for school playing to two back to back matches against Belton Hall and Claremont Primary schools!

    All 13 children represented school brilliantly and in total scored in impressive 9 baskets!

    We lost to Belton Hall 22-6 and then won against Claremont 12-0!

    proud! 

  • OUTSTANDINGĀ RESIDENTIAL FOR OUR Y4 PUPILS

    A huge well done to all of our Y4 pupils who had 2 days full of adventures and outdoor activities whilst camping in Walesby.

    The staff at Walesby frequently commented on your manners, team work and resilience during many of the challenging tasks!

  • Year 5 Quad kids

    Heat Champions

     

    Yesterday we took 10 year 5 Children to compete in the quad kids athletics heats, We took 5 girls and 5 boys to Harvey Haddon Athletics arena. All children competed against 9 other teams. The Children competed in a 50 metre race, 400 metre, Standing long jump, Howler throw and a fun relay race. The Children were amazing and won the heats on an amazing 1,653 points, over 200 hundred points more than second place. Obi was the highest scoring athlete out of all competitors Neveah 1st,  Ella 2nd, India 3rd, Nyah 8th and Liwia 14th out of all girls that competed.

    Obi 1st, Lewis T 2nd, Samuel 3rd, Archie 5th and Caleb 11th out of all boys who competed.

     

    We look forward to the County Finals on Wednesday the 23/6/22
