    This afternoon our 8 Playground Award golden tickets winners from December were treated like VIP's today with a Fine Dining Experience in our school hall. Thank you to Tanya and the kitchen team for making them feel so special!

    Another FANTASTIC end to the term with a Staff vs Kids Football Match! It was end to end and both teams played very well! In the end it was the staff again who were victorious winning 3-1!

    A huge well done to Melia and Michelle who today in assembly were pulled out of our prize draw for being ON TIME EVERY DAY the entire half term! Over 412 children were in the prize draw - a huge well done to everyone who always 'crossing the line before 10 to 9!' You are STARS! Thank you to our Y6's for presenting them with their £25 gift vouchers and picking the lucky numbers from the draw!

    During December, in during each assembly, winners have been picked out at random to receive a free book in our OBS Advent Book Calendar. Today our final 8 children were announced! Congratulations and enjoy your new books!

    Congratulations to all of the children below who this week in our new of term achievement assemblies were given a BRAND NEW AWARD! Mrs Shaw set each of the 4 Assistant Heads in school (Miss Priddle FS, Mrs Thomas Y1&2, Mrs Tee Y3&4 and Mrs Schlinder Y5&6)  a challenge to pick just 2 children from their phases of school as ALWAYS AWARD CHILDREN! We are so PROUD of all 8 of you! What an achievement!

    We were really pleased to receive a thank you letter this week from the 'Race For Life ' team this week. They were amazed that we had managed to raise so much money. 

    "Your students were bold and brave . They laced up their trainers, they smeared on the war paint and they united to help take cancer down. Thanks to your student warriors , your school raised £3690.69 to help beat cancer sooner. You are incredible."

  • KS2 CAROL CONCERT AT CHRISTS CHURCH

    This afternoon the entire KS2 department, including 240 kids and 25 members of staff walked to our local church and celebrated Christmas collectively. Well done to all the y6 narrators and actors for retelling the Christmas Story so beautifully and to the KS2 Choir who performed. A very special afternoon that left everyone feeling very festive indeed.

    2 City of Nottingham Medals in 2 days! Go team OBS! Congratulations to the amazing Y5/6 Athletics team who this afternoon gave everything in the 12 track and 12 field events that multiple children took part in! Couldn't have been prouder of you all! Silver medals to be VERY VERY PROUD OF!
  • BASKETBALL CHAMPIONS FOR THE CITY OF NOTTINGHAM

    An exceptional afternoon at Nottingham Trent University for the finals of the City of Nottingham Y5/6 Basketball! The children played in a 'round robin' event, playing the 7 other finalist teams! I'm delighted to share they WON every single match! Including an incredibly tense final game against Windmill Primary which finished 10-9! The children were over the moon!!! SO PROUD! We are now off to represent Nottingham City at  the Winter Games Regional Finals in February!
  • PLAYGROUND GUARDIANS OF THE MONTH FOR DECEMBER

    Congratulations to Mason and Ellie who today were announced as OBS Playground Guardians of the month for December in whole school assembly! The midday team have commented on how helpful they are, how often they look out for children who appear to be searching for someone or something to play, ensuring they feel happy and included on our school yard! PROUD!
