• KS2 CHOIR SHINE

  This week our KS2 choir performed not once, not twice but three times within our local community. They visited St Andrew's residential home and sang carols to its elderly residents, they also performed at the Albert Hall along with other local primary schools and finally yesterday they performed in Morrison's collecting donations for our school fund! Everywhere they've been they have received nothing but praise and positive comments!

  

• CHESS TEAM INTER TEAM COMPETITION

  Over the last 4 weeks in chess club the team have been having a competition between themselves! They played a 'round robin' event, where all team member played everyone else and were awards points! The overall winner was Lilia and in joint runner up places are the children below with Mr Ross who were today acknowledged for their talents in whole school assembly!

  

• Christmas Jumper Day

  As if this could get any more festive her at OBS! As well as a total of 5 productions this week, today the entire school arrived in Christmas Jumpers too! Well done to everyone for taking part!

  

• HOW MANY CHRISTMAS SCHOOL DINNERS!

  Today our SUPERB kitchen staff, lead by Tanya our senior chef, made and served over 500 Christmas Dinners! The School Leadership Team helped out on carrots, broccoli, gravy, stuffing, brussel sprouts and pudding duties! A HUGE thank you to our committed team in the kitchen who today, yet again, have done a brilliant job!

  

• SCHOOL CHOIR PERFORM TO ELDERLY RESIDENTS AT ST ANDREW'S LODGE

  This afternoon the OBS Choir visited one of our local Residential Care Homes, St Andrew's Lodge! The children spread much Christmas cheer as they performed a number of carols that had the residents smiling from ear to ear. We would like to thank them for their hospitality afterwards and the kind words and gestures they gave to our pupils!

  

• Raffle Winners!

  Today in afternoon assembly we got 2 of our 'ALWAYS' children from each class, who had been nominated by their teachers, to pull our 22 prize raffle! Congratulations to all of our winners! Enjoy your prizes!

  

• Christmas Card Competiton Winners

  Last week Mrs Shaw set the entire school the same homework task; to design an OBS Christmas Card to send out to other local schools, the residential homes we work alongside and to all our volunteers! The quality and volume of entries was SUPERB! Mrs Shaw just couldn't pick ..... so have numerous winners! Please see them here in the picture below along with their winning designs!
