  • DR BIKE

    Thu 29 Jun 2023

Thank you to the Bike Doctor who visited this week . He managed to service 15 bikes and was also able to carry out some simple repairs. This service was provided completely free of charge and it was really useful as lots of children are now bringing their bikes and scooters and parking them in our new Eco Parking Zone.

  • OBS DOES SHAKESPEARE!

Tue 27 Jun 2023 JAYNE THOMAS

The OBS drama club went to Nottingham Theatre Royal today to perform in the RSC Regional Playmaking Festival. The Nottingham RSC Associate Schools together performed different scenes from 'Twelfth Night'. I was so proud of OBS and their performance was outstanding! Click the Shakespeare button on the Curriculum page for more details, photos and the video recording of the dress rehearsal.

  • Praise for OBS

    Mon 26 Jun 2023

It was a pleasure to receive this email from a member of the public today.  Well done, I am a proud Headteacher:

Had the pleasure of sharing a tram with your pupils on my way into the city centre this morning. They were naturally boisterous and excited but without exception perfectly polite, impeccably behaved and a credit to the school.

I’m an ex Old Basford lad myself, having attended the school from 1961 to 1967 before going on the High Pavement Grammar School, then Liverpool University and Nottingham University prior to a career as a teacher in Nottinghamshire. Now happily retired and a governor at my granddaughter’s school. I have nothing but happy memories of my time at Percy Street. Give me a pretty good start in life I think.

Well done staff and pupils and wishing you all every success in your future endeavours.

    Regards,

    Mr XX

  • Recognition Time

Fri 23 Jun 2023 Miss Priddle

Lots of children joined me for recognition this week and for a wide variety of reasons, these included super writing, doing their best work, being a really good friend to others and helping to pack away the tents and camping equipment at Walesby.

They all got a prize, certificate and enjoyed juice and a biscuit - well done everyone!
