    Congratulations to the OBS netball team who were the overall winners of the Nottingham High School annual netball competition! Many  teachers, parents and coaches from other schools commented on the talent within the team and how well they collectively played together! MORE SPORTING SUCCESS AT OBS!

    Everyone had a lovely time when we visited Clover Green residential home. All the residents were very impressed with our reading skills. We even found time to have a quick sing song! 
  • DOWNS SYNDROME AWARENESS DAY - OBS ODD SOCKS DAY

    Thank you to all of our boys and girls who today came to school in odd socks for Down Syndrome Awareness Day! During whole school assembly this afternoon were shared facts and information about Down Syndrome and about why it is celebrated on the 21st March because it is the 21st chromosome in human that is different in those who have Down Syndrome. We also got Macey-Grace to lead us in a whole school song signing to 'One Step Closer.' It was a very special moment and one of my highlights of the year so far. PROUD!
  • Y3/4 ATHLETICS TEAM PERFORM BRILLIANTLY AT THE Y3/4 CITY SEMI FINALS

    Congratulations and a HUGE well done to the Y3/4 athletics team for their fantastic effort on Tuesday afternoon at Harvey Haddon Stadium in the Indoor Athletics Championships! The team made it through to the city finals, but, we are unfortunately unable to attend as this is the same afternoon as our Y3/4 production to parents! We are very PROUD of you all!

    Thank you also to some of our community members who came along to speak to parents, including the school nurse and family support workers. Tanya even made cookies for everyone to sample!

    Fantastic effort from both our KS2 Boccia teams in this afternoons City Finals! Well done to the entire team for doing their absolute best, having a great afternoon where they fully participated in every match! PROUD! 
  • OBS BASKETBALL TEAM CONTINUE UNDEFEATED RUN!

    Outstanding play tonight from the entire OBS basketball team. They played 2 matches at host school St Peter's in Ruddington and won both games very convincingly with exceptional team play, skill, encouragement and selfless passing and shooting! Both parents and teachers from our host school commented on the very high standards of both individuals and the team as a whole. A especial well done to Alfie who made his debut for school tonight. PROUD!
  • Y5 MEGA FESTIVAL TEAM MAKE SCHOOL PROUD!

    A huge well done to the 8 Y5 children who represented our school in sport for the very first time this afternoon at the Y5 Mega Festival hosted at Harvey Haddon Stadium! I am delighted to hear what a wonderful time you all had and loved seeing each of you come back in to school with smiles on your faces whilst wearing our official school team kit!
  • BASKTEBALL TEAM CONTINUE THEIR WINNING RUN

    Well done to the OBS basketball team, who tonight, on a wet Friday after school travelled to Ambleside to plan 2 matches. The first they won 22-4 against Jubilee Primary and the second against the hosts Ambleside, which they again won 26-5! Brilliant performance by all the players! PROUD!
