    Thank you so much for the hugely positive feedback from our Makaton Signing Workshop for our Foundation Parents! Our Speech and Language Teacher Gemma thought you asked brilliant questions, picked up basic signing very quickly and hopes these skills will really be very supportive to you all.   • OBS WORLD BOOK DAY - WHAT A DAY!

    Some INCREDIBLE EFFORTS today with World Book Day costumes here at OBS! The children arrived so excited this morning and have a jam packed day full of enriching activities where we get to share and celebrate OUR LOVE FOR BOOKS!

    This afternoon all Upper School pupils will be pairing up with children from Lower School to read small groups some of their favourite books!

  • Y3&4 ATHLETICS TEAM GO THROUGH TO THE SEMI FINALS

    Congratulations to the Year 3 and 4 athletics team for competing so well at Harvey Haddon in the heats of the City Indoor Athletics Championships! 2 weeks to practise our batons changes and perfect our field events! Well done to all of you who represented school! PROUD!
  • SCIENCE DAY AT WOLLATON HALL

    Following our very successful and well supported Parent Science Workshops just before the half term we'd LOVE to share with this local and free science event this weekend at Wollaton Hall! If you have a free few hours it sounds like it is well worth a visit.

     

  • MUSIC OPTIONAL HOLIDAY HOMEWORK

    Thank you to everyone who had a go at producing a piece of homework on our theme of 'music'. Many children created their own instrument from recycled materials- they were so inventive and all could produce a sound. Some children made posters and some created fact files and powerpoints. The best pieces of homework were shared in Friday's 'Proud' assembly. We were so pleased with their efforts and congratulated them with a certificate and some Basford Proud Pounds! You can see the photos of the children in assembly below as well as some photographs of some of the mini-projects from across school
