  • OBS SCHOOL COUNCIL WRITE TO THE LOCAL AUTHORITHY, COMMUNITY LEADERS & TO LOCAL SUPERMARKETS

    Sun 24 Nov 2019

Last year OBS opened its very own FOOD BANK to help serve our OBS Community at the start of each school holiday/half term.

This year we have extend this provision to not only have an OBS FOOD BANK but also … an OBS HYGIENE BANK!

Our OBS School Council are passionate about making both of these 'banks' as successful as possible. They have worked together to write letters to our Local Authority Council and Local 'Basford Ward' Community Leaders to ask for their support and contributions.

With Christmas approaching FAST …  we have discussed with our School Council how this can be a particularly difficult time of year for families and finances.

The School Council came up with the idea of also writing to our local Supermarkets to help stock and source our Food & Hygiene Banks in the next 4 weeks before the Christmas 2 week holidays begin.

PROUD TO BE ACTIVE CITIZENS SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY!
