  Thank you to everyone who braved the bad weather to attend our car boot sale. It ended up being a table top sale in the hall. We had some very happy customers who grabbed a bargain or two!

• CAKE DECORATING WORKSHOP

  Watch out Mary Berry !

  Thank you to all the parents who attended our cake decorating workshop this morning. We learnt some new skills and had the chance to chat to each other over a cup of tea or coffee. Everyone left with some pretty professional looking cup cakes!

  Thank you also to the very talented Michelle ( one of our fantastic FOBS) who ran the class and gave us lots of useful tips. Thank you also to Morrisons and 'Sweet Success' , who donated all the cakes and icing which enabled us to offer this free workshop for parents.

• NEW OBS LIBRARIANS ANNOUNCED FOR 2018

  Today in whole school assembly Mrs Black, our literacy leader, announced the children in each class who had been voted by their peers to be this years 2018/2019 OBS Librarians! These children have responsibility for: helping and guiding class mates towards books in our library that they may enjoy, keeping the library tidy and suggesting new and upcoming books and authors for us to purchase for our school.

• Girls football team go to watch England Lionesses VS Brazil

  Many of members of our girls football team this weekend will be going to watch the England Women's Football Team play against Brazil at Notts County. We continue to encourage all our pupils, especially girls, to be aspirational about all sports and the future paths it could taken them down! HAVE AN INCREDIBLE TIME!

  

• GOLD AND BRONZE SUCCESS FOR OBS CROSS COUNTRY RELAY TEAMS

  Congratulations to our OBS Boys and Girls Y5/6 Cross Country Relay Teams who today at the City Finals were both medallists! The girls team came 3rd and achieved a bronze medal and the boys team won their event, winning gold medals and now hold the title of 'City Boys Cross Country Relay Champions!' PROUD!
