  • Basfest

Mon 03 Jun 2019 Mrs Thomas

Some of you may have heard the term BasFest recently. It is an arts festival for the Basford community that is in its second year. This year we have joined in. Earlier this year our children entered a competition for the 4 Basford schools to design a poster to promote the festival. Out of the hundreds of applicants across the school our Ria in Year 6 was the overall winner!!

The festival is from 10-16th June and events will be happening across the Basford community and schools (OBS, Whitemoor, Southwark and Heathfield). Everyone is invited to go to any of the events.

At our school art club will be running an art workshop on Monday 10th after school 3.20-4.20 to which everyone is invited. Drama club and Streetdancers will perform after school on Tuesday 11th June to which everyone is invited. And finally we will have our music showcase on Wednesday 12th June at 2.15 to Ks2 and to the musicians' families only.

We hope that you will be able to come along to one of the events.
