  Mrs Kelly and Mrs Tee really enjoyed taking the the Year 6 choir to visit Clover Green. Everyone was in the Christmas spirit as they sang along to some favourite Christmas classics like ' Rocking Around The Christmas Tree' and 'Jingle Bell Rock'.

• Year 6 singers sing at the Albert Hall

  Well done to the Year 6 singers who took a trip to the Albert Hall today, you were impeccably behaved, gave it your all and sounded fantastic. What a special experience! They were recorded singing a Spanish Christmas song called 'Capriccho Navideno'. We will now be left in suspense to wait to watch and hear the final version during Christmas in the city concert next Thursday 16 December from 7pm!

• First Old Basford light Switch on done with the Year 6 singers

  Old Basford had their first ever light switch on today! We now have a beautiful looking Christmas tree across from Old Basford School, take a look and admire its twinkling lights, which look especially beautiful in the dark. A huge well done to the brave, enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 singers. You were a true delight to watch! Well done to Ramey who got to push the huge switch, what a treat. Special memories to treasure all round.

• Christmas Book Advent

  In the lead up to Christmas, we will be giving different pupils throughout school the opportunity to open a book in out OBS Book Advent.  Each day, a pupil will be randomly selected from a class to choose a book.

   

  Today, day 1, Cameron from Class 9 was chosen at random and he picked 'The attack of the demon dinner ladies' by Pamela Butchart.
