• OBS CHAMPIONS OF THE CITY CROSS COUNTRY RELAY - BOYS AND GIRLS WIN GOLD!

  The Y5&6 Cross Country Relay was the first sporting event of academic year! And wow ... didn't we start with a BANG!

  16 individuals were selected to represent school; 2 boys teams and 2 girls teams. Each team had to consist of 4 pupils, each completing a 1.5km run before passing on the baton to a team mate.

  Girls Team 2 - Sarah, Axia, Liwia & Vicky finished in 8th place

  Boys Team 2 - Lewis, Samuel, Archie & Junior finished in 4th place

  Girls Team 1 - Ella, Nevaeh, India & Nyah finished in 1st place - GOLD

  Boys Team 1 - Max, Asaiah, Obi & Caleb finished in 1st place - GOLD

  Every single child ran exceptionally well and deserve real praise for their team performance.

  Strongest individual laps for those in Team 2, just missing out on a medal, go to: Archie, Liwia and Sarah

  

• WEEK 2 RECOGNITION PUPILS

  A huge congratulations to all of the pupils below who last week were placed on the 'recognition board' for going 'above and beyond' in their conduct, effort, attitude and achievements.

  Mrs Shaw thoroughly enjoyed having time with you all this afternoon, sharing a biscuit and a drink whilst acknowledging each individuals reason for their recognition status!

  A very clear theme for this week was R = resilience!

• HALL OF FAME ASSEMBLY NO 1

  This morning we had our first OBS HALL OF FAME ASSEMBLY.

   

  Each month we will be inviting back to a former pupil to share both their OBS memories and what made the biggest impression on their lives during their time at our school.

   

  They then will share what they have done since then, their achievements, current position and future goals.

   

  This morning was lead by R-Marnei Williams who was an OBS pupil from 2003-2010! R-Marnei brought along with her every certificate, badge and medal she was ever awarded and shared how much these meant to her and why!

   

  She then went on to tell pupils how she is about to start a Fashion Degree in London next week! And how the opportunities she has taken at OBS, at secondary school and college have allowed for this goal to become a reality.

   

  A HUGE THANK YOU TO R-MARNEI FOR INSPIRING THE YOUNGER GENERATION!

• RECOGNITION - ABOVE & BEYOND 12.9.22

  Congratulations to all of the children below who spent time this afternoon with Mrs Shaw after being recognised by staff across school last week for going above and beyond during the first week back of the academic year!

  Mrs Shaw thoroughly enjoyed hearing about each of their individual recognition comments whilst sharing juice and a chocolate biscuit. 

  

• FANTASTIC FIRST WEEK BACK

  What a wonderful start to the new academic year! The pupils have been impressing every member of staff all week long!

  From our very youngest children in Nursery to our oldest Year 6 pupils - they have all had a FANTASTIC start to the term. 

  All week I've seen happy, smart and focused children who are loving life here with us at OBS!
